Ok, I strongly recommend that you have a pretty descent PC to use this benchmark. It's very demanding and will possibly crash your PC or just won't run if your system can't handle it.
Go to this following website...
www.futuremark.com/
Once you have ran your benchmark test come back here and post your results and give the stats of your PC. Info such as mine listed below...
***CPU: Intel P4 3.0 Prescott (overclocked to 3.4, 3400mhz)
***Motherboard: ASUS P4C 800E-Deluxe
***Memory: 2G (2048MB)
***Video Card: ATI X850XT Pro
I believe my benchmark was 1992. I will run again after I have refreshed my operating system. I think I may have too many programs installed and it's effecting it to some degree.
When I built this system over 2 years ago it was one of the best setups you could get but now I highly recommend AMD 64 bit systems that are dual core and 939 socket processors. They perform very well and benchmark very high. Also, if you ever want to upgrade its the easiest and cheapest way to go, all you have to do is buy the latest 939 socket processor your wallet can grasp and install.
Try this benchmark and see how you stack up.
Remember, this is the free version so you only will be able to run the general benchmark option. After you do that you can create an account on this website and compare your pc to other similar pc's or all pc's depending on how you set up your search.
It's cool and its fun and it puts the reality of what level of PC you have to what is actually available now.
As I said be sure to post your benchmark and as much of your pc info as you can get. If you dont know how to get that info go here and download these programs to get the info for you...

CPU-Z and PC Wizard are two great programs that give you inside info on your systems without you having to open your case.
