If your parents will kill you for messing with your PC don't do this, otherwise enjoy. ;D This only works on Windows XP Pro. Don't do this if your running anything else. This should also work on Media Center Editons since they are built off of XP Pro. - Click Start, Run. - Type "GPedit.msc" and press enter. - Expand the "local computer policy" branch - Expand the "administrative templates" branch - Expand the "network branch" - Highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler" in the left window - In the right window, double-click the "limit reservable bandwidth" setting - On the setting tab, check "enabled" - Change the "Bandwidth limit %" to 0 - Close and reboot. Leave feedback and tell me what you think. (My internet is a lot faster now ;D) TMO

Player, are you running windows XP Professional or Media Center Edition? If you are running home version this will not work. This doesn't harm your computer as long as you follow step by step. I did it myself and it seems to help some. Once you do this you have to reboot your pc. TMO

Believe me, there's much worse than XP Home. Pro does have a lot more things to tweak but you won't utilize those things unless you become a junkie like me. TMO
