Just curious as to how people feel about thier pc. Just select the answer that best describes your feelings about your setup. If you're happy with it, great. Good for you and game on! If your not happy but feel something could be done then we will see what we can suggest to get you in better shape. If you have no hope for your system then I suggest you think about how to build or buy a newer system. I will check in on the poll and help as needed. TMO

Intel X-Duo, Im very impressed. Loads BF2 in less than 10 secs. Wide open graphics on every game i have does not effect it thanks to cross-fire sli water cooling ! Best money I ever spent.

Nice guys, nice. I'm about to upgrade as well but Im doing research on each item upgrade before I buy. Mine still works very well on everything I do but tbh I just want to get updated a bit. I'm using stuff that I have had for over 3 years. Still impressive specs due to the fact I got pretty high end items at the time I built it. Moving from socket 478 to 775 and SLI. Im probably going to get the ASUS Striker motherboard since it holds the record overclocking record with nearly 24000 score on 3DMark 06. To show how behind I am I scored 2155. You will be surprised if you download that benchmark program as to where you will fall in scoring if you dont have the latest hardware. I think most average systems would be lucky to get a score of 1000. Go check it out... www.futuremark.com/download/3dmark06/Beware its 580MB TMO

Very nice score Jag. Your running a conroe chip correct? Conroe is definitely the fastest chip on the market to date. The difference for me was paying 229 for a CPU with a motherboard ( i didnt use the cheap board), or paying at least another 100+ bucks to get a little higher performance chip. I got out around 600 bucks for a total system overhaul and to get back up and in the running with the new systems out now. I will have around 1000 bucks total after SLI video setup and more memory. Not too bad. To explain a little more about that benchmark program the bottom score you want to look at is the 3dmark score in which was for Jag 12885 and for Atlas 8953. Both are very good numbers, mine was 8984. I have found that if you have a dual core CPU and SLI setup you will get about 20 - 30 % higher numbers on your score than with a single card so I figured once I get the other 8800GTS video card and another 1G of memory I will be around 12000 or higher. I will post after I setup and retest... And yes Jag, that was definitely the best graphics I have ever seen as well. This new setup I have now let me see 2 more new test levels I couldnt test with my old setup, probably due to the limited ability of my old video card. I'll repost in the next 2-4 weeks after I get the new card and retest. TMO

Hi WwK
Ive got a few pc's, I had a bug for building and upgrading not so long ago.
Main rig : Intel Core 2 E6600 2.4Ghz @ 3.5Ghz Gigabyte P965-DQ6 Thermaltake Big Typhoon (fan replaced to 98cmf) Powercolor X1950 Pro (was x fire till I broke 1) 2 x 1g OCZ Gold el DDR2 800MHz (4-4-4-10) 2 x 250Gb Seagate 7200.10 Sata2 HDD Raid 0 720 W psu Windows xp64 I modded the case to mount the 2 hdd's in the 5" bays and added 4 120mm case fans for some sweet cooling.
2nd rig : AMD x2 3800 2.01Ghz @ 2.7Ghz Gigabyte GA K8NS Ultra Zalman cpns 9500 led Leadtek 6600GT 2 x 512mb LL DDR400 (2.5-4-3-8 @ 244MHz) 2 x Seagate 7200.9 sata HDD Raid 0 420 W thermaltake purepower psu Modded Xaser V case for better cooling.
3rd rig : Intel PD805 2.66Ghz @ 4.01GHz nothing special besides custom built water cooling kit and a nForce 4 Intel edition mobo.
I have some Athlon xp cpu's and boards, but I cant be bothered to put em back togther. When I get the other 1950 fixed I'll put some 3D 06 scores up. But the E6600 pwns the x2 and the PD in every cpu test you can throw at it. Zalman

Nice systems Xeno. I have a few lying around myself. Including an ASUS P5VDC-MX Motherboard with the Pentium D 940 Dual Core Presler CPU still mounted in it that I had installed for one week before I got the X2 6000. Pound for Pound the 6600 is a more powerful chip, the only problem I had was the 120.00 difference that it costs to get that chip. Everything for Intel is too expensive to be more powerful than AMD. I will have around 1,000.00 invested with everything I need with 2 8800 GTS EVGA video cards installed that will bring my futuremark score to around 11000 to 12000. This system will be powerful enough to run everything I need for the next few years with little left to be desired. Im very happy with it over my Intel P4 3.2G Prescott 478 socket system. It was overclocked to 3550Mhz with the ATI X850XT video card and 2G of memory. My benchmark score is over 4x what I was getting on the prescott system. This was my previous system with the prescott. I am going to update it to my current system stats soon. www.pcprofiles.com/p/hotrodTMO

Looks real nice , very clean Yea the 6600 is a pure beast, especially at 3.5, I got it almost a week after it hit Australia, so I paid a premium for it, $485au I think it was, with the DQ6 almost $400 and the OCZ $420, it was a heavy purchase. I was into folding at home at the time, so mass cpu power was a advantage, I ve never been into gaming much. None of my rigs have the look yours has, the Xaser V has a hardcano with a mile of wiring thats impossible to hide. I'll try to find some pic's later;.

I just got my repaired X1950 Pro back, so crossfire is back up. I'll try to find 3D 06 and pump of a score. Everything stock service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=1884636and running off a old ATA100 20gb hdd, as 1 of my sata3g raid0 disks broke
